In late spring, sprays of creamy white blooms are borne on slender stems rising up to 12 in. (30 cm) above the foliage. Attractive to butterflies, they can be left on the plant or cut for indoor arrangements. A great choice for adding drama to mixed containers and mixed borders. Its trailing habit makes it useful as a ground cover. Evergreen in mild climates.

  • Grows up to 8-12 in. tall (20-30 cm) with a spread of 32 in. (80 cm).
  • Performs best in fertile, moist, but well-drained soil in partial shade or shade. Mulch annually.

  • Remove stems of faded flowers and dead leaves.
  • Keep an eye out for vine weevils and rust diseases.
  • Propagate by division in autumn.
  • Divide every few years.
