Tiarella – Foam Flowers
Regarded as a cute wildflower in the past, Tiarella (Foam Flower) has become a mainstay of the shade garden. Mostly native to North America, Tiarella are rhizomatous herbaceous perennials forming lush clumps of rounded, palmately lobed leaves in a wide array of shapes, sizes and colors. In spring to summer, charming pink-tinged flower buds gracefully evolve into wands of starry, creamy white flowers. Easy to grow, usually pest and disease resistant, Foam Flowers deserve a spot in the woodland or shade garden. Evergreen in mild winter climates.
