Noted for its exceptionally long flowering period, award-winning Geranium 'Patricia' (Cranesbill) is quite eye-catching with its profusion of magenta-pink cup-shaped flowers with black star-shaped centers, rising atop mounds of deeply cut, dark green leaves that turn stunning shades of red in fall. Putting on a great show from late spring to midsummer, this hardy Geranium is reliable, easy to grow and provides long-lasting color for any garden. Particularly attractive with pink roses or peonies or with silver foliage plants such as Artemisia or Stachys. Geranium 'Patricia' is a sterile hybrid of Geranium endressii and Geranium psilostemon.

  • Clump-forming, this deciduous perennial grows in a creeping mound up to 24-36 in. tall and wide (60-90 cm), and requires very little maintenance!
  • Won the prestigious Award of Garden Merit of the Royal Horticultural Society
  • Performs best in full sun or part shade, in average, dry to medium, well-drained soils. This plant is not fussy about soils provided they are well-drained. Attractive to butterflies, but deer and rabbit resistant! Drought tolerant!
  • A perfect border plant, it is a spectacular addition to beds, borders, banks and slopes, groundcover, cottage gardens, city gardens, underplanting roses and shrubs. Great in containers too!
  • This Geranium is generally not subject to serious pest or disease issues. Watch for vine weevil, sawflies, slugs and snails and powdery mildew
  • Cut back stems hard shear plants down to new growth after flowering to encourage a possible light summer rebloom and prevent the plant to sprawl and become weedy. Lift and divide large colonies in spring.
