- Won the prestigious Award of Garden Merit of the Royal Horticultural Society
- Putting on a great show from late spring to fall, this hardy geranium is reliable, easy to grow, and provides long-lasting color. Vigorous, it can knit the largest of borders together and provides a bold presence in the garden. It looks wonderful threading through blue-flowered neighbors such as Love-in-a-Mist (Nigella damascena) or next to silver foliage plants such as Artemisia.
- Geranium 'Ann Folkard' is a hybrid of Geranium procurrens and Geranium psilostemon. While its flowers closely resemble those of Geranium psilostemon (Armenian Cranesbil), Ann Folkard displays a better habit and stronger vigor.
- This deciduous spreading perennial grows in a creeping mound up to 2 ft. tall (60 cm) and spreads up to 3-4ft. (90-120 cm) and requires very little maintenance!
- Performs best in full sun or light shade, in moist, fertile, well-drained soils. This plant is not fussy about soils provided they are well-drained. Attractive to butterflies, but deer and rabbit resistant!
- A perfect border plant, it is a spectacular addition to beds, borders, ground cover, cottage gardens, underplanting roses, and shrubs.
- This Geranium is generally not subject to serious pest or disease issues. Watch for vine weevil, sawflies, slugs and snails, and powdery mildew
- Remove flowered stems and old leaves to encourage the production of fresh leaves and flowers. Propagate by division in spring or by basal cuttings in early to mid-spring and root with bottom heat
