  • Grows in a rounded, bushy, and well-behaved shrub, up to 18-30 in. tall and wide (45-75 cm).
  • Best grown in full sun in fertile, humus-rich, moist but well-drained soil. For best flowering apply a balanced fertilizer and mulch in late winter or early spring and a balanced fertilizer again in early summer. Salt tolerant.
  • An excellent choice for beds and borders, city gardens, coastal gardens, cottage gardens, patio containers, or as a colorful groundcover.
  • Keep an eye out for aphids, rose leafhoppers, scale insects, caterpillars, large rose sawflies, rose leaf-rolling sawflies, black spots, rose rust, and rose powdery mildew.
  • Pruning is generally not needed, but this shrub may be shaped in spring. It does not need spraying.
  • Propagate by hardwood cuttings in autumn or by chip budding in summer.
