Lysimachia – Loosestrifes

Lysimachia are summer-flowering herbaceous or evergreen perennials with 5-petaled flowers that are usually white or yellow, but sometimes pink and purple. Most are vigorous spreaders, particularly in moist, fertile soil in full sun or partial shade. Loosestrifes are great candidates for moist borders, bog gardens, near ponds and streams, or for naturalizing in a wild or woodland setting. Lysimachia nummularia (Creeping Jenny) makes a splendid groundcovers.
