Providing cheerful greenery throughout the winter, Polypodium cambricum (Welsh Polypody) is a semi-evergreen fern with attractive leathery, very broad, pinnatifid, deep green fronds. Remaining lush and fresh-looking from fall to spring, Welsh Polypody goes dormant in the summer. Low-growing, it spreads by creeping rhizomes and makes a lovely groundcover. Gracing cottage gardens, rock gardens or woodland gardens, Welsh Polypody combines beautifully with other shade-loving ferns, perennials, and wildflowers.
