Opening from dark red buds, masses of fragrant, pink, single flowers appear in mid-spring, just as the foliage is unfolding. Draped in clusters along the branches, they provide a truly spectacular display. The flowers are followed by abundant glossy, bright red fruits, 1/2 in.
