Opening from red buds, masses of fragrant, deep pink single flowers appear in mid-spring. Draped in clusters along the branches, they provide a spectacular spring floral display.

The pretty blossoms are followed by abundant glossy, red fruits, 1/2 in. (1.2 cm), with blood-red pulp. They mature in fall and persist into winter. Emerging with reddish tints in spring, the pointy leaves become dark green in the summer, before turning beautiful orange-red shades in the fall. Highly rated for disease resistance, this flowering crabapple is a reliable performer that is exciting throughout the year.
