Lewisia cotyledon (Siskiyou Lewisia)

Strikingly beautiful, Lewisia cotyledon (Siskiyou Lewisia) is an evergreen perennial forming a substantial rosette of fleshy, spoon-shaped dark green leaves. In late spring and summer, occasionally later, it is topped with lovely, open sprays of brightly colored, funnel-shaped flowers, up to 1 in. across (2.5 cm). Opening in succession, the flowers range from pale pink to deep magenta to vibrant yellow, salmon or orange, with each petal often shading between multiple colors.
