Zinnia 'Benary's Giant Purple' features rounded, fully double flowers packed with rich violet-purple petals and opening up to 4-6 in. across (10-15 cm). As the flower matures, a circle of small golden stars surrounds its center disk. Resembling dahlias, they are borne on very long, sturdy stems above the foliage of lance-shaped leaves, and make a big statement in the landscape. Blooming profusely over a lengthy season extending from early summer to frost, this showy annual is a vigorous and excellent performer in all climates.
Enjoying a long vase life, 'Giant Purple' belongs to the well-known Series 'Benary's Giant', a mildew resistant Zinnia variety developed for the cut flower industry. It is one of the best tall, long stemmed Zinnia variety and is recommended by the Association of Specialty Cut Flower Growers.
