Blooming in late summer and fall, a profusion of large flowerheads packed with star-shaped, brilliant magenta pink flowers are on display. They are borne on stout, upright, reddish stems and rise with majesty above the foliage clump. Both foliage and dead inflorescences remain attractive through winter, providing some additional interest. This sun-loving perennial is ideal for containers, alpine beds, rock gardens and other hot, dry spots. Very compact, this showy sedum is perfect for small garden spaces.
