- Grows up to 18-24 in. tall (45-60 cm) and 12-18 in. wide (30-45 cm).
- Thrives in full sun in moderately fertile, medium moisture, neutral to slightly alkaline, well-drained soils. Protect from winter wet. Intolerant of high heat and humidity. Drought tolerant.
- Vital ingredient of beds and borders, cottage gardens, city gardens, rock gardens. Excellent cut flowers!
- Attracts butterflies but is ignored by deer.
- Propagate by seed in containers in a cold frame as soon as ripe or in spring. Propagate by division in spring or take basal semi-ripe cutting
