  • Grows up to 6 ft tall (180 cm) and 2-4 ft wide (60-120 cm).
  • Easily grown in poor, well-drained soils in full sun. Drought tolerant once established.
  • Great for beds and borders, Mediterranean gardens, cottage gardens, city gardens, gravel gardens, patio containers, or as a formal or informal hedge.
  • Virtually disease free. Keep an eye out for thrips and rosemary beetle.
  • Attractive to bees, butterflies, and hummingbirds, however, deer dislike rosemary's strong scent.
  • Propagate by semi-hardwood cuttings.
  • Rosemary needs little pruning. Prune lightly removing unsightly shoots as required. Since Rosemary blooms in summer and late fall on the previous or current year's growth, prune plants in mid to late spring.
  • Rosmarinus officinalis is native to the Mediterranean region, from where it has been introduced into all continents.
