- Grows up to 24-36 in. tall and wide (60-90 cm).
- Best grown in full sun in fertile, humus-rich, moist but well-drained soil. For best flowering apply a balanced fertilizer and mulch in late winter or early spring and a balanced fertilizer again in early summer. Salt tolerant.
- An excellent choice for beds and borders, city gardens, coastal gardens, cottage gardens, or as a colorful groundcover.
- Keep an eye out for aphids, rose leafhopper, scale insects, caterpillars, large rose sawflies, rose leaf-rolling sawflies, black spots, rose rust, and rose powdery mildew.
- Pruning is generally not needed, but this shrub may be shaped in spring. It does not need spraying.
- Propagate by hardwood cuttings in autumn or by chip budding in summer.
