Rosa Centennial Star® is a ravishing Hybrid Tea rose boasting large, strongly fragrant, golden yellow flowers, 5 in. across (12 cm), packed with 50-70 petals adorned with pink edges. The very double, cupped shaped blossoms bloom in flushes from spring to early fall. They stand out against the lush foliage of dark green, glossy leaves. A tall, bushy shrub rose that is very disease resistant and perfect for beds, borders or containers. A great rose for cutting too.

  • Portland Rose Society Gold Award.
  • Grows up to 3-4 ft. tall (90-120 cm) and 2-3 ft. wide (60-90 cm).
  • An excellent choice for beds and borders, flowering hedges, or containers. Stunning when mass-planted. Excellent cut flowers.
  • Best grown in full sun, in rich, fertile with adequate moisture, well-drained soils.
  • Propagate by hardwood cuttings in autumn or by chip budding in summer.
  • Spring Pruning: Remove old canes and dead or diseased wood and cut back canes that cross. In warmer climates, cut back the remaining canes by about one-third. In colder areas, you'll probably find you'll have to prune a little more than that
  • Bred by Alain Meilland (1940-….) (France, 1996).
