The very double, cupped shaped blossoms bloom in flushes from spring to early fall. They stand out against the lush foliage of dark green, glossy leaves. A tall, bushy shrub rose that is very disease resistant and perfect for beds, borders or containers. A great rose for cutting too.
- Portland Rose Society Gold Award.
- Grows up to 3-4 ft. tall (90-120 cm) and 2-3 ft. wide (60-90 cm).
- An excellent choice for beds and borders, flowering hedges, or containers. Stunning when mass-planted. Excellent cut flowers.
- Best grown in full sun, in rich, fertile with adequate moisture, well-drained soils.
- Propagate by hardwood cuttings in autumn or by chip budding in summer.
- Spring Pruning: Remove old canes and dead or diseased wood and cut back canes that cross. In warmer climates, cut back the remaining canes by about one-third. In colder areas, you'll probably find you'll have to prune a little more than that
- Bred by Alain Meilland (1940-….) (France, 1996).
