Rosa Carefree Spirit (Shrub Rose)
Perfect for gardens of all sizes, Rosa Carefree Spirit is a lush, rounded shrub rose boasting single, cup-shaped brilliant cherry-red flowers, 2.5 in. across (6 cm), adorned with a light pink center and a bouquet of bright yellow stamens. The 4-8 petals feature white reverses suffused with deep cherry pink. Borne in large clusters, the blossoms entice passing butterflies to use them as perfect landing pads.

- Grows up to 4-5 ft. tall and wide (120-150 cm).
- Best grown in full sun in fertile, humus-rich, moist but well-drained soil. For best flowering apply a balanced fertilizer and mulch in late winter or early spring and a balanced fertilizer again in early summer.
- An excellent choice for beds and borders, city gardens, cottage gardens, patio containers or as a colorful hedge.
- Keep an eye out for aphids, rose leafhopper, scale insects, caterpillars, large rose sawfly, rose leaf-rolling sawfly, black spot, rose rust and rose powdery mildew.
- Propagate by semi-ripe cuttings in late summer or hardwood cuttings in autumn, for home use only.
