Rudbeckias
The genus Rudbeckia includes over 20 species of annuals, biennials, and perennials, mostly grown for their abundant, bright, golden, daisy flowers with black or purple central cones in summer. Spectacular in mass plantings, these full sun to light shade lovers will bloom their heart out in summer. They are fairly drought tolerant, disease resistant, attract birds and butterflies and make lovely cut flowers. Low maintenance plants, they multiply and naturalize well and are ideally suited to prairie planting, garden beds and borders, wild gardens or cottage gardens.
