Grevillea

Mostly native to Australia, Grevillea can be evergreen shrubs or trees, ranging in size from a few inches tall to over 100 feet. They typically enjoy a fine-textured foliage and long, slender, petal-less flowers borne in dense clusters. They flower in a vast array of flamboyant colors or shapes and their leaves range from bright lime-green to soft gray to blue-green. Some Grevillea plants are amazingly cold hardy and most are extremely drought tolerant. They all are a feast for both the gardener and the birds.
