Fagus – Beeches

Fagus (Beeches) are magnificent deciduous trees noted for their smooth silvery-gray bark, ovate leaves warming up to rich russet and golden shades in the fall. Their inconspicuous flowers are followed by bristly fruits which ripen in the fall and are edible. Easy to grow, Beeches make superb shade trees or specimen trees in large landscapes.
