Erigeron glaucus (Seaside Daisy)

Native to coastal regions of California and Oregon, Erigeron glaucus (Seaside Daisy) is a low-growing perennial forming a ravishing cushion of semi-double, lavender-pink flowers adorned with yellow centers. Blooming for months from mid-spring until late summer, the blossoms almost cover the leathery foliage of thick, spoon-shaped, blue-green leaves.

Evergreen in mild winter areas, it is deer resistant and drought tolerant. Plant in a location that receives full sun to light shade along the coast or light shade in warmer inland locations.

  • Easily grown in fertile, dry to medium moisture, well-drained soils in full sun to part shade. Water twice a month once established.

  • Virtually disease and pest free.
  • Easily divided in fall or early spring. Cut back every 2-3 years.
  • Propagate by divisions, cutting or seed. Seeds require light for germination.
