Erigeron glaucus (Seaside Daisy)

Native to coastal regions of California and Oregon, Erigeron glaucus (Seaside Daisy) is a low-growing perennial forming a ravishing cushion of semi-double, lavender-pink flowers adorned with yellow centers. Blooming for months from mid-spring until late summer, the blossoms almost cover the leathery foliage of thick, spoon-shaped, blue-green leaves. Great for coastal gardens, butterfly gardens, or massed ground cover. Perfect for rock gardens and crevices in paving or massed. Evergreen in mild winter areas, it is deer resistant and drought tolerant. Plant in a location that receives full sun to light shade along the coast or light shade in warmer inland locations.

• Grows up to 6-12 in. tall (15-30 cm) with a spread of 12-24 in. (25-30 cm).
• Easily grown in fertile, dry to medium moisture, well-drained soils in full sun to part shade. Water twice a month once established.
• Great for beds and borders, cottage gardens, coastal gardens, city gardens, rock gardens, or containers.
• Virtually disease and pest free.
• Easily divided in fall or early spring. Cut back every 2-3 years.
• Propagate by divisions, cutting or seed. Seeds require light for germination.
• Toxic to dogs, toxic to cats, toxic to horses.
• Erigeron glaucus is native to the coastline of Oregon and California where it grows on beaches, coastal bluffs, and dunes.
