The lemon-scented foliage is narrow, lance-shaped, golden-green, 3-7 in. long (7-17 cm), and used to produce citronella oil, which is favored in perfumery. Another ornamental feature is its striking bark – smooth, powdery white, sometimes with a blush of pink or blue. In winter, abundant clusters of white flowers are borne amongst the foliage. Long-lived, this Eucalyptus makes an attractive narrow tree, revealing its presence in gardens or streets by the wonderful fragrance of its leaves.
