Punica – Pomegranates

Punica (Pomegranate) are extremely attractive, bushy shrubs (evergreen in tropical areas) sporting glossy, bright green leaves and flamboyant orange-red flowers, followed by round, fleshy, juicy fruits with edible pulp. Native to western Asia, Pomegranate prefers dry climates, abundant summer heat and is partially self-fertile: planting two or more varieties will increase your crop.
