Rosa Skylark (English Rose)

Rosa Skylark is a lovely variety of shrub rose which produces clusters of semi-double, deep pink, cup-shaped flowers, delicately paling to lilac-pink over time. When fully opened, they reveal a white heart and conspicuous golden stamens.

When fully opened, they reveal a white heart and conspicuous golden stamens. They are nicely complimented by the dark, semi-glossy foliage. Bushy, this rounded, small shrub is a repeat bloomer which emits a light tea fragrance.

  • Its noteworthy qualities have earned it the Award of Garden Merit of the Royal Horticultural Society
  • Blooms in flushes from late spring until frost.
  • Growing up to 36 in. tall (90 cm) and spreading 30 in. wide (75 cm), it looks wonderful when combined with the cool blue colors of salvia, nepeta or lavender.
  • Best grown in full sun in rich, fertile with adequate moisture, well-drained soils.
  • Propagate by hardwood cuttings in fall or by budding in the summer
