Weigela florida My Monet® is a dwarf, compact, deciduous shrub of rounded habit, noted for its handsome variegated foliage and pink flowers. Emerging in spring, narrowly ovate, sage green leaves line the gracefully arching branches. They are adorned with creamy-white edges, some pink flushing, all with a fine pink ribbon along their edges. In spring to early summer, the shrub is decorated with clusters of funnel-shaped, pink flowers. Blooming may continue sporadically throughout summer.

  • Grows up to 12-18 in. tall (30-45 cm) and 18-24 in. wide (45-60 cm).
  • A sun to part shade lover, this plant is best grown in moist, well-drained soils. Best color is obtained in good light.
  • Plant as a specimen or in small groups. Perfect for border fronts, edging, foundation plantings or containers.
  • Pruning is best done immediately after flowering; little pruning is needed.
  • Generally disease free. Watch for leaf and bud eelworms. Seldom severely damaged by deer.
  • Propagate by softwood cuttings in early summer, semi-ripe cuttings in summer or hardwood cuttings in late autumn and winter.
