Small and delicate, award-winning Tulipa whittallii is a real delight in the garden with its glowing, starry flowers opening to expose their heart in full sun! Quite short, this gem still makes a striking impact with its lovely color combination: blood orange petals blotched with a dark olive base. A beautiful sight! Flowering in mid-late spring, this tulip is a member of the Botanical Tulips and is quite versatile in the garden.
- Growing up to 8-12 inches tall (20-30 cm), this tulip naturalizes easily and will come back year after year!

 - Performs best in full sun in rich, fertile, medium moisture, well-drained soils. Prefers areas with cool winters and warm, dry summers.
