Recently introduced, Tulip 'Exotic Emperor' provides a highly romantic display in early spring with its large, double, and fluffy white flowers, delicately green and cream flamed. Quite an impressive display when planted en masse! While looking like a peony-flowered tulip, 'Exotic Emperor' is a member of the Fosteriana Tulips, a group famed for its large early blooms, sturdy stems, and strong reliability.

  • Handsomely blossoming in early to mid-spring, this tulip grows up to 14-16 inches tall (35-40 cm), and will naturalize easily and come back year after year to our delight! It creates dazzling harmonies with other early flowering bulbs.
  • Performs best in full sun in rich, fertile, medium moisture, well-drained soils. Prefers areas with cool winters and warm dry summers.
  • Easy to grow, this tulip is a welcomed addition to beds, borders, containers, rock gardens, or for naturalizing in grass. For best visual impact, plant in groups (at least 10 to 15 bulbs) or mixed with any other flowering bulbs. Excellent as cut flowers!
  • To be planted in fall.
  • All parts may cause severe discomfort following ingestion and may cause an allergic skin reaction. Wear gloves and other protective equipment when handling.
  • Toxic to dogs, toxic to cats, toxic to horses.
