Tulipa Carnaval De Nice (Double Late Tulip)

Almost looking like a rose with its extremely large, double set of petals, award-winning Tulip 'Carnaval de Nice' displays a densely-packed bowl of white petals splashed with burgundy and resembling a raspberry ripple. Ravishing! This sport of 'Nizza' also features variegated leaves with fine white margins. Blooming in late spring, this fragrant member of the Double Late Tulips group was granted the prestigious Award of Garden Merit by the Royal Horticultural Society in 1999.

• Growing up to 20 inches tall (50 cm), this tulip creates dazzling harmonies with other flowering bulbs.
• Since the flowers can be damaged in extreme weather conditions (rain and wind), it is advisable to plant them in a sheltered location.
• Performs best in full sun in rich, fertile, medium moisture, well-drained soils. Prefers areas with cool winters and warm dry summers.
• Easy to grow, this tulip is a welcomed addition to beds, borders, and containers. For best visual impact, plant in groups (at least 10 to 15 bulbs) or mixed with any other flowering bulbs. Excellent as cut flowers!
