Tulipa biflora (Botanical Tulip)
Tulipa biflora (Two-Flowered Tulip) is a small bulbous perennial with one or two gray-green leaves and short stems bearing 1-5 fragrant, star-shaped, yellow-centered white flowers, 4 in. across (10 cm). The narrowly oval petals are flushed outside with greenish-gray or greenish-pink. Blooming in late winter to early spring, Tulipa biflora is suitable for a rock garden, raised bed, or alpine house.
