Tricyrtis Sinonome (Toad Lily)

Tricyrtis 'Sinonome' (Toad Lily) is a shade-loving perennial of vase-shaped habit with long, slightly arching stems clad with ovate, medium green leaves and ravishing clusters of small, creamy-white flowers, 1. in. long (2.3 cm), adorned with burgundy-purple spotting and blotching. Borne in the upper leaf axils and stem tips, the blossoms can be admired from late summer to fall. Easy to grow and long-lived, this is an excellent perennial for adding late season color to the shade garden. Use it as an accent plant, container plant or ground cover in a woodland garden. A popular choice of the cut flower industry in Japan thanks to its long flowering stems.
