Rosa Henry Fonda (Hybrid Tea Rose)

A great addition to the landscape, Rosa ‘Henry Fonda’ is a mildly fragrant Hybrid Tea rose boasting large, brilliant yellow double flowers adorned with 17-25 petals. Borne mostly solitary, they bloom in flushes from spring to early fall and stand out against the lush foliage of glossy, dark green leaves. A tall, upright, bushy shrub rose that is perfect for beds, borders, containers or as a flowering hedge. A great rose for cutting too.

  • Grows up to 4-5 ft. tall (120-150 cm) and 2-3 ft. wide (60-90 cm).
  • An excellent choice for beds and borders, flowering hedges, or containers. Stunning when mass-planted. Excellent cut flowers.
  • Best grown in full sun, in rich, fertile with adequate moisture, well-drained soils.
  • Propagate by hardwood cuttings in autumn or by chip budding in summer.
  • Spring Pruning: Remove old canes and dead or diseased wood and cut back canes that cross. In warmer climates, cut back the remaining canes by about one-third. In colder areas, you'll probably find you'll have to prune a little more than that
  • Bred by Jack E. Christensen (United States, 1995).
