Deliciously scented, English Rose Grace (Auskeppy) is a lovely apricot rose with large (3 in. – 7 cm), fully double, cupped blossoms (80 petals) in breathtaking shades of pure apricot, slightly deeper in the center and paler toward the edges. The blooms are fabulous at all stages, from the pointed buds to the perfect mature rosettes with their reflexed outer petals. Strongly scented with a tea fragrance, they offer a stunning contrast against the fresh, apple-green foliage. Introduced by David Austin in 2001, this rose is truly unique and a must-have in any English rose garden.
- Blooming in flushes from late spring to fall, this rose is an excellent repeat bloomer
- Winner of the prestigious Award of Garden Merit of the Royal Horticultural Society
- Grows up to 4 feet tall and across (120 cm).
- Forms a good, healthy, well-branched shrub with a tidy growth habit whose striking beauty allows it to be treated as a specimen plant in the landscape. It is also a superb addition to the border, may be used for hedging and its medium size allows it to fit small gardens or large containers.
- Plant it where you will be able to enjoy its perfume daily: near a doorway, along a path, near your patio or deck.
- Best grown in full sun or part shade in rich, fertile with adequate moisture, well-drained soils.
- Summer pruning will help to maintain the height and encourage quicker repeat flowering.
- David Austin’s English Roses combine the flower forms and perfume of Old Roses with the color range and repeat-flowering habits of modern roses. As a Rose breeder, David Austin’s achievement is in marrying the romantic “English Rose” look with reliable garden performance, vigorous growth, full bushes, disease resistance, and prolific season-long bloom. Over 200 English Roses have been released since 1961, many of them receiving the highest rewards.
