Considered one of the best bright red climber, Rosa Flammentanz is a very hardy, vigorous, large-flowered climbing rose which produces abundant clusters of double crimson flowers, 3.5 in. wide (10 cm), counting up to 17-25 petals. Moderately fragrant, the blossoms are perfectly displayed against the healthy dark green leathery foliage and make an impressive display.

  • Blooms once in late spring or early summer.
  • Grows up to 9 feet tall (270 cm) and spreads 4 ft. (120 cm). Excellent cut flowers. Ideal as free-blooming climber for walls, arbors, fences or other garden structures.
  • Best grown in full sun, in rich, fertile with adequate moisture, well-drained soils.
  • Very disease resistant
  • Bred by Wilhelm Kordes in 1952.
