Rosa Cecile Brunner (Climbing Rose)

An old favorite since 1894, award-winning Rosa ‘Cécile Brünner’ is a vigorous, almost thornless large climber with generous sprays of pleasantly fragrant, fully double, pale pink flowers, 1.5 in. across (4 cm). Resembling miniature Hybrid Tea roses, the perfectly formed blooms open from pointed buds and count up to 30 petals. Extremely free-flowering, this climbing rose experiences a long, overwhelming flush of blooms in late spring or early summer.

  • Best grown in full sun to partial shade, in humus-rich, fertile, moist, well-drained soils. Poor soil and shade tolerant. For best flowering, apply a balanced fertilizer and mulch in late winter or early spring and a balanced fertilizer again in early summer.
