Yucca

Yucca can be evergreen perennials, shrubs or trees, with rosettes of stiff, sword-shaped leaves and impressive flower stalks thrust skyward to anywhere between 3 and 6 feet tall. They are topped with pendulous, bell-shaped white blooms that last for weeks. Many of these South Western U.S. natives are extremely cold-hardy and can be enjoyed in cool winter areas. Slow growing, Yuccas are not fussy about soil conditions as long as they are not wet. They love full sun, but can grow and thrive in partial shade as well. For bold, eye-catching architecture in your garden, Yuccas can’t be beaten.
