Tibouchina are Brazilian natives of great beauty. They are evergreen shrubs or herbaceous perennials boasting showy saucer-shaped flowers adorned with conspicuous stamens and broadly oval, prominently veined, velvety leaves. Bloom is intermittent over a long period.
