Taxodium – Cypresses

Taxodium is a genus of extremely flood-tolerant conifers in the cypress family. Occurring in the southern part of the North American continent, they are tall and large trees with graceful sprays of short, needle-like leaves. Deciduous in the north, they are semi-evergreen to evergreen in the south.
