Sanguisorba / Burnets

Sanguisorba is a genus of around 30 species of hardy perennials, forming clumps of attractive, pinnate leaves and dense, feathery flower spikes that resemble small bottlebrush blossoms. Flower color ranges from white through to pink or red, including lovely light-lavender pinks and richest maroons. There are varieties in a range of heights for the front and back of the border, and they look excellent when combined with grasses or prairie plants.
