Sambucus – Elder

Easy to grow, Sambucus (Elder) can be herbaceous perennials, deciduous shrubs, or small trees. They are prized for their lacy foliage of bright green, golden-yellow, or dark purple leaves. In early summer, clusters of lemon-scented, tiny creamy-white flowers add beauty to the shrub, before being followed by red, white, or black berries.
