Prunus / Flowering Trees
Prunus is a genus of more than 200 species of trees and shrubs with showy flowers in spring, and often attractive fall foliage color. A number of species, hybrids, and cultivars, called ‘flowering cherries’, are grown as ornamental plants, usually for their profusion of flowers, sometimes for ornamental foliage and shape, and occasionally for their shiny bark. Grow them as specimens, in shrub borders, as screens or hedges and admire their spectacular floral display!
