Prunus – Cherries
There are two main types of cherry trees. Some produce bountiful crops of sweet cherries (Prunus avium) that can be eaten picked off the tree. Others yield tart or sour cherries that are perfect for pies, jams, preserves, jellies. Most sweet cherries need a pollinizer while tart cherries are predominantly self-fruitful.
