Pittosporum – Kohuhu

Easy to grow, Pittosporum are wonderful, robust, dense, evergreen shrubs or small trees boasting simple, leathery leaves in a wide range of colors: silver, yellow, rich purple, variegated with cream or yellow. Clusters of fragrant, tiny flowers appear in late spring and early summer. While the flowers are inconspicuous, their sweet honey scent fills the air with their perfume. Tolerating seaside conditions, full sun or shade, heat, and drought, Pittosporum are terrific in hedges, screens, and effective in containers and raised planters.
