Parthenocissus

Valued for their handsome foliage and spectacular fall color, Parthenocissus are vigorous deciduous climbers with either tendrils or suction disks, and lobed or palmate leaves. Most are wonderfully tough, almost indestructible vines for walls and buildings, large trellises, arbors or fences. They are effective as groundcovers to disguise tree stumps, rock piles, and other eyesores, or for erosion control on slopes. They are not fussy about soils and tolerate a wide range of conditions from full sun to full shade.
