Liriodendron – Tulip Trees
Magnificent and grand, Liriodendron (Tulip Tree) are vigorous deciduous trees with attractively lobed leaves turning brilliant golden yellow in fall and interesting tulip-shaped flowers of yellow, orange, and green in late spring to early summer. They make splendid shade trees or specimen trees. The genus includes only 2 species, Liriodendron tulipifera (eastern North America) and Liriodendron chinense (China, Indochina) and multiple hybrids. All are low maintenance and deer resistant.
