Gomphrena – Globe Amaranth

Gomphrena (Globe Amaranth) are spreading or bushy annuals boasting a profusion of rounded, papery flower heads, up to 2 in. long (5 cm), from early summer to the first frost. Charming and particularly attractive, the blossoms are a magnet for bees, butterflies, and other pollinators. Low maintenance, pest, and disease-free, drought and heat-tolerant, Globe Amaranth adds lively color and interest to mixed containers, garden beds, and borders. Superb for cutting, the flowers may be dried quickly, retaining color and shape for winter arrangements.
