Dietes

Forming dense and long-lasting clumps of narrow, sword-like foliage, Dietes are rhizomatous evergreen perennials boasting a succession of iris-like flowers with 3 large outer segments and 3 small inner ones. Blooming throughout spring, summer, and fall, and sometimes well into winter in mild climates, the ravishing blossoms usually last only one day, but they are produced in seemingly endless numbers. Easy to grow and virtually indestructible, Dietes are not fussy as to soil type and will adjust to full sun or part shade.
