Native to China, Wintersweet (Chimonanthus) are delightfully fragrant winter-blooming shrubs with small, nodding, butter-yellow flowers adorned by deep red-marron centers. Adding charm and scent to the garden when most plants lie dormant, Chimonanthus are easy to grow and adapt to most types of soil texture. Place them in a garden area where their incredible fragrance can be enjoyed. Alternatively, cut their dormant branches and force them into flower indoors!
