Calamagrostis / Reed Grass

Calamagrostis (Reed Grass) is a genus of 250 perennial species forming tufts of linear leaves, with erect stems bearing attractive flowering panicles in summer. Suitable for borders is the hybrid Calamagrostis x acutiflora and its lovely cultivars with their elegantly arched narrow leaves and long buff plumes which last through most of the winter. Beautiful, versatile and nearly care-free, Reed Grasses are stunning as specimen plants, screens, backdrops and for their vertical accents.
