Arbutus

Arbutus are evergreen trees and shrubs noted for their ornamental bark, small bell-shaped flowers, decorative and edible fruit that resemble strawberries in size and color. Equally beautiful is their glossy dark green foliage that looks fresh throughout the year. Arbutus are fairly compact trees, so they are great for smaller gardens and courtyards. They will grow anywhere as long as the soil is well-drained and not too wet in summer. Once established, they are indestructible.
